Obituary of William P. Williams

William Patrick Williams, 60 of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Milford J. and Jane A. Frazier Williams and was educated in the Troy Public Schools, last at Troy High School.

Mr. Williams had been employed as the Head Cashier at Mobil in Adams, Massachusetts and previously at John B. Garrett Medical Supply Co. in Troy.

He loved Lake George car shows and most important his family along with his fur baby, Athena.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his loving wife Gloria Sousis Williams, brothers Milford J. “Mil” Williams, Jr. and (Jeanne) and Richard B. “Taxi” Williams.

William is survived by his step-kids Tina Burnell (Eugene, Jr.) and Tommy Ostrander (Chrissy).

He is also survived by his much loved longtime companion of 15 years, Shelley J. Becker, and his siblings, David (Lillian) Williams, Jane Marie (Stephen, Sr.) Davis.

William is also survived by several grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182 for his Visitation on Monday, August 18, 2025 from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. where at 1:30 p.m. the Celebration of His Life Reflections and Prayers will begin.

Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy.

Mr. Williams’ family would like to express their most sincere appreciation for the loving care which was provided to him and their family to Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, Social Worker Nikki and Dr. Rivette.
