Obituary of May F. Schemitsch
May F. Schemitsch, 86, of Halfmoon, NY and formerly of Prescott, AZ, peacefully entered into eternal life at home surrounded by her loving family on January 1, 2026.
Born and educated in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles Hatfield and Florence Chappell Hatfield.
May loved casino gambling, horses and her pets. She also enjoyed being with close friends and reading and watching Science Fiction.
Devoted mother of Steve and Mother In-Law to Diane Schemitsch, sister of Margaret “Peggy” Hatfield, cherished grandmother of Alex Schemitsch and Max Schemitsch.
No public services will be held.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
