I remember when I first met Dan one day when Zachary invited Amy and I over to hang out with his family in Savannah. Lively, vivacious and full of laughter was my first impression of Mr. Kane, who immediately required me to call him Dan AND have a glass of wine. To limit his personality to just the crayons in a box would be an insult, he would need the whole light spectrum to display all his facets. A few phrases come to mind such as warm, embracing, and laughter filled He instantly made you feel like family. Dan and Mary Ellen took us college kids in as family, even still seeing them years later. I doubt there is anyone he met the he didn't leave a very lasting impression on.
To Mary Ellen- You always welcomed me, treating my like one of your own, not just Zachary's friend and the feeling of family is reciprocated. I am deeply mournful of your heartbreaking loss. May the Lord be with you and your boys now and always.

Certain people that you cross paths with stand out and make a forever lasting impression. Big Dan Kane was that man. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and it was made of gold. He always helped people, not because he felt he had to, but because he wanted to. I met him right when he started his business years ago as a customer of mine, and from there we became good friends. A friend that can't be replaced...
I am grateful for all of the smiles he has shared with me and my family. To his family, I have heard such wonderful things about you. Especially his Mother. I am so very sorry for your loss. Daniel will be missed dearly by everyone that has had the honor of his presence.
Stay strong in these hard times...
Drew
