Obituary of Michael F. Gillick

Michael F. "Mike" Gillick, 58, of Troy, companion of Barbara J. Lamere, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late John J. and Ann M. Williams Gillick and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Michael was last employed at Troy Towers in Troy in their maintenance department.

He loved playing the guitar and liked to watch football.

Father of Amanda Gillick, Sarah Gillick and Christin Robideau-Gillick, brother of Patricia (the late, John) Marra, Janice (the late, Paul) Nicoll, Mary (Lewis) Church, John J. Gillick, Jr. and the late Diane Gillick-Struss (the late Stephen Struss), grandfather of Hailey Robideau, Brynnley Munson, Jayleen Herrera and Bianca Gillick, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Prayer and Words of Remembrance will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th St. in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182 with a calling hour being held from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday as well

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204, in memory of Michael F. Gillick.
