Obituary of Richard A. Heyward

Richard A. Heyward, 68, known to many as “Little Junior”, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Born in Myrtle Beach, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur and Hattie L. Smalls Heyward. He had worked at GE in Waterford. Little Junior always was known to greet you with a healthy voice and say, “Hey, What’s Up, Man!” He was a karate enthusiast and taught many how to use karate. Loving brother to Charlenia Myers, Christine Davis, Sabrina Heyward and the late David Smith, John Smith and Lloyd Heyward “Big Junior”, adopted father of Travis Myers, Letika Myers and Jasmine Myers, dear nephew of Aunt Eula Gibbs, and also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service that morning beginning at 11:00 a.m. both at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street and Fourth Avenue in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182. Interment will be held in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
