Obituary of Donna M. Milkins

Donna M. Milkins, 73, of Ballston Lake, entered into eternal life on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Morton and Ann Mach Milkins and was a graduate of the College of St. Rose with her BA in Education and her MA in Special Education. Miss Milkins was a devoted elementary school teacher with the Shenendehowa Central School District where she retired after 29 dedicated years in 1999, she taught for five years at Arongen and the remainder at Chango. Donna was a proud member of the Chango Elementary Retired Teachers Association, an affectionate collector of Teddy Bears, as well as a Faith Formation teacher and communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Ushers. She enjoyed traveling, and one of her favorite adventures was a trip to Hawaii. She loved music and singing, and after her diagnosis of Frontal Lobe Dementia, listening to her CD’s, and music concerts were a great comfort to her. Donna is survived by her brother Lanny Milkins and several close friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, (Ushers Road and US-9) 2001 RT-9, Round Lake, NY 12151. A calling hour will be held Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church. Facial coverings, social distancing and adherence to capacity limitations must be observed.
