Obituary of Michael Paone

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Michael Paone, 88, on October 1, 2021, at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy, just days prior to his 89 birthday, due to COVID-19.

Mike is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Briggs Paone.  Michael was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Lena Menetti Paone, his siblings and his youngest daughter, Tina M. Paone.

He is survived by family both near and far; as well as by several friends who all love and miss him very much.

Mike worked at Whitbeck Motors and Troy Boiler Works prior to his retirement. He was a very active member of the Troy Lodge of Elks #141.  He took great pleasure in working their Friday night dinners and chatting with all of the “Old Timers.”  Mike also really enjoyed his monthly breakfast club meetings with his friends from Troy Boiler Works.

With great difficulty, the family has honored Michael’s wishes to not have any public services. Mike was laid to rest next to his daughter Tina at the family plot in St. John’s Cemetery in Troy.
