Obituary of Doreen L. Tucker- Rowe

Doreen L. Tucker-Rowe, 68, of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life with her son Dorian at her side on Saturday, January 15, 2022.

Born in Albany, he was the daughter of Jean E. Smith Tucker and the late Arthur Hopkins.

Doreen was a Teacher’s Aide at Troy Public School #2. She also served as a Foster Grandparent at the Troy Boys and Girls Club.

She had been a member of the Fifth Avenue AME Zion Church in Troy.

Loving daughter of Jean, beloved mother of Dorian (Jamie) Tucker and Franklin Tucker, devoted sister of Rory Smith, Melvin Smith, Tyrone Smith, Robert Smith, Thomas Wethers and the late Robin Smith, cherished grandmother of Felicia, Michaela and Brian, adored great grandmother of Annabella, Alex, Jamie, Ashton, Jameson and Rian, also survived by a host of relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Ave (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182, where at 11:00 a.m. the Home Going Service will be celebrated by Rev. Xavier Hunter, Pastor of Fifth Avenue AME Zion Church, Troy and the Eulogy will be offered by the Rev. Robert Linder.
