Obituary of Scott Osterholt

Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Scott “Scotty” Osterholt, age 40 of Ballston Lake, NY, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Scott was born in Niskayuna, NY to his loving parents John and Jean Osterholt and into the middle of a large family.  Scott studied at HVCC and New Horizons in Albany. With an adventurous spirit and natural curiosity (and amazing natural red hair), he found joy in the outdoors and was an avid cyclist and excellent snowboarder.

Scott was always the funniest man in the room and the life of every gathering. This helped him build a devoted group of friends and he was well liked by others. He was able to make the most typical times into memorable ones. He would surprise you with his savvy ability to cook and entertain.

He excelled at everything he did, including construction, baking, sewing and had expansive IT knowledge. He had an amazing memory even for the smallest of details. He was honest and helpful to everyone. He had an amazing collection of shoes.

Scott is survived by his parents, siblings Jennifer, Crissi, John, and Jeff, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces and beloved dog Hobo – all of whom he leaves behind with holes in their hearts as big as his personality. He will forever be missed.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday June 26th. 2022 at 3:00 pm in St. George’s Episcopal Church, 912 Rt. 146 Clifton Park, NY 12065 and can be viewed virtually by using the following link  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f08LUutIx8Y
