Obituary of Doris L. Cox

Doris L Cox, 92 of Ballston Lake, passed away quietly on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Warren Center Rehab and Nursing facility. She was born on August 21, 1930 in the Bronx.  Doris graduated from Oneonta Teaching College with a BA in elementary education worked as an elementary school teacher for several years. Doris was a very kind and generous human being who is always willing to help anyone in need and volunteered for many programs and organizations over the years.

 

Doris was predeceased by her husband Richard Cox; her daughter Stacey Rupert; and her son-in-law Jeffrey Lattimore.  She is survived by her children, Michael Cox (Judy) of Mechanicville; Alison Lattimore of South Glens Falls and Brendan Cox (Victoria) of Delmar; two sisters Ann Buckingham of Ballston Lake and Charlotte Hansen of Brentwood as well as her grandchildren Jason Martin (Maureen) of Troy; Carolyn Hickok (Matt) of Halfmoon; Leah Tanski (Joseph) of Glenville; Sarah Rupert (Patrick)of Schenectady,; Alexander Lattimore (Sarah) of Christchurch, New Zealand; Taylor Lattimore (Eric) of Ballston Spa; and Jessica Cox (Paul) of Milwaukee. She is also survived by her great-grand children Mikaela Martin of Orlando, Fl; Shawn Lattimore of Halfmoon; Logan DeRose of Schenectady; and Laney Lattimore of Christchurch, New Zealand.

 

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who participated in her care over the past three years especially Warren Center nurses, CNAs and activity aides for their great care of our mother during this past year.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Doris’s home, 26 Terrace Ct. Ballston Lake at 1pm on September 10, 2022 for family and friends.
