Obituary of John P. Billings

John P. Billings, 64, of Colonie passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, after a long illness.

Born in Cohoes and educated in both Cohoes and Pittstown, New York, he was the son of the late Paul D. and Lorraine B. Giroux Billings. 

Beloved fiancé of Tammy M. Antoniak Stoliker, father of Tyler Bechand and John Curtin, Grandfather of Izabella Bechand, brother of Timothy Billings, Stephen Billings (Eileen), Eric Billings (Larry McCrary-deceased), Patrick Billings (Susan), Denise Billings, Christopher Billings (Yvonne).  John was predeceased by his brother Paul Billings.  He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

John, being retired, loved to spend his time out in nature, a true outdoorsman. He was an avid fisherman and looked forward to deer hunting season.  John loved spending time with Tammy, the love of his life, whom he reconnected with after almost 40 years.  He especially enjoyed their trips to the ocean & deep-sea fishing.  He was a loving Grampy to her four Grandchildren, Aria, Austin, Alexander, and Aiden Stoliker.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, New York 12182.  At the family’s request the interment/service at Oakwood Cemetery will take place in the Spring.
