Obituary of Tessie Marcella Vines

Mrs. Tessie Marcella Vines, 100, a former longtime resident of Mechanicville, NY, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Born in Mechanicville, April 7, 1922, daughter of the late George and Mary Simiele Marcella. Tessie was the wife of the late Keith Vines who died in 1974. Before her retirement, Tessie was employed at Teledyne Gurley in Troy.

Survivors include her son Gary Vines, daughter-in-law Deborah Locke, daughter Cathy Smitreski, son-in-law Jim Smitreski and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Tessie was predeceased by her sisters Mary Capeci, Angie Delano, Alice Duffney, Josephine Bestor and Rose Walsh, brothers Henry, Vincent, John and Daniel Marcella and sisters-in-law Minnie Thompson, Vera Vellam, Dorothy Baxter, Mildred Offenbacker and Sybil Smith.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton park, NY 12065.

Burial will follow in the Hudson View Cemetery, Halfmoon.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
