Obituary of Janice Louise Daigle (Langwig)

Janice Louise Daigle (Langwig), 77, of Clifton Park (formerly Averill Park) passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2023. Born in Albany, NY to Howard and Pauline Langwig on March 1, 1945, she is preceded in death by her parents and beloved Aunt Louise Glastetter.  After graduating from Albany High School in 1962, Janice worked as a stenographer for the State Department of Agriculture and Markets then at RPI for the Department of Electrical Engineering. After having her children, she was a real estate agent for a few years prior to starting a drywall contracting business with her husband Phil. They owned Daigle’s Insulation and Drywall Center in Latham from 1990-2006. She enjoyed baking and gardening, and cherished time with her children and grandchildren as well as spending time with extended family and friends. Janice loved to spend time at the ocean and loved to walk the Marginal Way in Ogunquit. She especially enjoyed anything chocolate! Janice had an incredible Catholic faith that will carry her as she continues her journey.

Janice is survived by her husband of 58 years, Philip Daigle; her children Phil Daigle (Tina), Steve Daigle, and Paula Daigle; her grandchildren Joshua Daigle, Angela Daigle, Nicole Daigle, and Amira Kouidri; brother Roy Langwig (Janice); brother Paul Langwig; very special relations R, M, and E; and many well-loved brother/sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral will be held on Friday March 3, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road Clifton Park, NY 12065 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm Thursday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford, NY.
