Obituary of Paul W. Bulmer

Paul W. Bulmer, 80, of Melrose, best friend and devoted husband of Susan Polhemus Bulmer, peacefully entered into eternal life on Friday, April 28, 2023.

 

Born in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late William Bulmer and the late Alice Vining Bulmer North and the step-son of the late Arthur E. North. Paul was a graduate of Shaker High School, Hudson Valley Community College with his AAS in Electrical Engineering and Empire State College having earned his BA in Business Administration.

 

Paul retired in 2002 after 32 years of dedicated service from Verizon in Albany where he had been a Technical Support Engineer.

 

He was a Charter and Life Member of the Brunswick Elks #2556, enjoyed boating, skiing, golfing and traveling and was a communicant of Transfiguration Parish (formerly St. Bovanventure’s Church), in Speigletown.

 

Beloved husband of Susan, devoted father of William Bulmer (Lisa Rocco) and Patrick (Paige A.) Bulmer, brother of Arthur (Kathy) North, brother-in-law of Michael (Wilma) Polhemus, cherished grandfather of Liam (Paige E.), David, Eliza and PJ, also survived by eight nieces and their families.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Transfiguration Parish (Speigletown), 50 Hillview Dr., Troy, NY 12182 followed by his Mass of Christian Burial that morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Church.

 

Private interment for the family will be held in the Hoosick Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Transfiguration Parish, 50 Hillview Dr., Troy, NY 12182, in memory of Paul W. Bulmer.
