Marilyn Mates, 76, of Halfmoon, New York passed away peacefully on Monday June 5, 2023 at the Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady. She was born in Syracuse, NY on Dec. 14, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Norman and Lillian Rochin. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Mates, whom she married on April. 25, 1975. Marilyn had been a medical transcriptionist for NYOH in Latham, NY and later retired. She had been a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake.

 

In addition to her beloved husband Bob, she is the devoted mother of Michael (Jennifer) Mates of Greenland, NH and Kara (Ryan) Puckey of Ballston Lake, NY; cherished grandmother of Alex and Joseph Puckey; she is survived by her siblings and several nieces and nephews.

 

Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm Wednesday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

 

Interment will be on Friday at 11:00 am in the Jonesville Cemetery, Clifton Park, NY.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association Northeaster NY Chapter, Pine West Plaza, Building 4, Suite 405, Washington Ave. Ext. Albany, NY 12205.

 

Following the interment, family and friends are invited to a luncheon.
