Obituary of Roberta Sue Halliday

Roberta Sue Halliday, 70, of Canal Road, entered peacefully into eternal life on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Grand Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Guilderland Center. Sue was born in Albany NY., the daughter of the late Robert R. and Annette B. Shone Johnson. She was a 1964 graduate of Shaker High School. Sue was a Line Dance instructor and owner of Basically Country in Halfmoon. Her love for animals, especially horses was evident to all that knew her. On her 70 th birthday Sue traveled to Europe alone and followed her ancestry for the past eight generations. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband James C. Halliday and two sisters; Patricia Dame and Mary Jane Johnson. Suriviors include her loving children; Rayanne Sue Stefanazzi-Thompson and Robert Richard Stefanazzi, one sister; Ruthana (Lee) Battes, two precious grandchildren; Dylan Richard Stefanazzi and Richard Frederick Thompson, two nieces and one nephew; Shannon, Lisa and Glen (Buddy) Dame. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, Funeral will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Memory Garden's Cemetery, Colonie.. Memorial contributions may be made in Sue's memory to the SPCA International- www.spca.org
