Obituary of Antoinette Marie McKnight

Antoinette Marie "Toni" Albarelli McKnight, 98, of Brunswick, peacefully entered into eternal life at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

 

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Henry Albarelli and Madeline Clemente Albarelli and was a graduate of Troy High School.

 

Mrs. McKnight was a homemaker and loved horseback riding, working on the farm, drawing, painting and was very artistic. She was an amazing cook and baker, loved to make arts and crafts, as well as, caring for her horses.

 

Antoinette was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ray and her devoted son John R. “Mad Farmer”, “John Boy” McKnight and her siblings; Joseph H. (Marie Joan) Albarelli, Sr., Catherine Albarelli, Anna (Elliot) Brenenstuhl, Leonard (Kathleen) Albarelli, Rosemarie (Robert) Wick, Gloria Covert and Arthur (Theresa) Albarelli.

 

She is survived by and is the cherished grandmother; “Nan” to John W. "Junior" McKnight of Brunswick, who she was predeceased by his mother Maureen Matthews McKnight. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.

 

Private services will be held for Toni at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, New York 12182.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,  Memphis, TN 38105-9959, in memory of Antoinette M. McKnight.
