I was so sorry to learn of Jean's passing. I first met Jean when she was a student in a writing course I taught at Hudson Valley Community College. I remember how dutifully her husband Harry would drop her off for class and then return to pick her up when class ended. I got to know Jean on a personal level during those times she waited for Harry's arrival. She was an eager student. She shared her dreams of becoming a freelance writer, and indeed she became one as a result of taking my course. I cheered her first publication and the many others that followed because Jean kept in touch with me through the years. She was by far the most prolific of all the students I have had the pleasure of teaching, and I was so proud of everything she accomplished in the highly competitive magazine field. I feel certain that Jean's creativity is blossoming in the next life; my memories of Jean bring both a smile and a tear to me at this time. Please accept my condolences for this great loss for your family.

Steve, Ken, and Kevin,
So sad to know Aunt Jean has passed on to her next great adventure. Sending you love and light as you go through the process of grieving her loss.
Two of my most vivid memories of her are that she always reminded me I was the one who first made her an aunt when she was only age 15 or 16, and a picture of her (which is gone now, or I would have uploaded it here) on her hands and knees teaching her first grand niece, baby Vicki, to crawl - some 51 plus years ago! I have many fond memories of her over the years. Peace and Blessings to you.
