We remember with fondness the many times we met at the Scottish Games; and at the family outings in Brookview and Rensselaer. May God hold you in His arms.

Andy, Deaven, Gavin and extended family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I have many fond memories your mom. I have known her most of my life. Our families met through the Albany Chapter of the ADK. There were many Wednesday night picnics ,Thanksgiving breakfasts, Christmas Carol Sings and many more events that she and your Dad were part of. Eventually they became our neighbors. I actually babysat Andy when he was little. Even after I got married and had a family, we always kept in touch. She was a person of great faith and will be remembered always.

Jean is a loving, kind, funny friend who we enjoyed sharing our thoughts with. We had the opportunity to spend time with Jean & Jim at SPAC and then share at our house. We loved seeing them on Sundays!

It is with great sadness that I heard of "Aunt Jean's" passing. Jean was Bob and my Godmother and was always engaged in our lives from an early age. A wonderful woman of God who gave so much to others, not just to our family. I always thought that my parents made a superb selection of God Parents with Jim and Jean! We talked often by phone and our Scottish ancestry was one we were all surrounded by and engaged in. A lovely woman, a woman of deep faith, a loving mother to Andy and family and an unheralded member of NY State education and reading programs. I miss her but know we shall meet again and know she and Uncle Jim are together again.

Jean and Jim were dear friends starting in 1948 when I attended New York State College for Teachers with Jean. She was a member of my sorority, Psi Gamma, and we spent many happy hours at 113 South Lake. Jean and Jim always met my husband, Robert Lanni, who was our class mate and who later became a Physics Professor at Suny, and I when the University or the sorority held re-unions over the years.
We would entertain our returning classmates.
As I ended up a librarian, we shared a love of books as well as Talbots where we also met many times.
She was a wonderful person, a real scholar, a lady always- she will be missed.

I last spoke to Jean last summer, and promised to finish my book. Knowing her love of reading and her wish to have people read widely and often, we are donating a book to Albany Pub Library in her memory.
We greatly loved and enjoyed both Jean and Jim. She will be missed!
with deepest condolences,
the Johnsons
