I remember many times playing baseball in the side yard of our neighbors house the Zacek’s. When Alex came to bat you knew it might take a while because Alex wouldn’t swing at just any pitch. He was waiting for the perfect pitch then he would clobber it over everyone’s head while he jogged around the bases with a huge grin on his face. That was my brother Alex. He was very precise and intentional in almost everything he’d do. I can still see him sitting under the Christmas tree with his brand new cassette tape recorder in a hundred pieces because he needed to know how it worked.
But my favorite memory was when I was 15 and the 2 of us drove a couple of hours away together and spent the whole day at Geauga Lake amusement park. After riding every ride twice we headed back to the car and Alex threw me the keys and let me drive home. Even though we broke a few laws getting back home I knew I had the coolest brother in the world.
Sadly Alex and I could never find that place again in our lives. I love you Alex and will carry many memories like these with me forever. Your only youngest brother Stevie.

I will always remember the great times we shared together, which is the testament of the love that came from our beautiful extended Italian family. The video brought me back to those days in the past that meant so much to me.
You and Aunt Elinor will always and continue to be the family's fact checker, even from your seat in Heaven.
My condolences to all the immediate family. You will be greatly missed.
Love,
JoAnn

So sad to hear this news and much love and condolences to all the extended family. The Video tribute was incredible and so wonderful to see all the generations before us. Beautiful memories of our visits and always trying to catch Aunt Mary with out food on the table for us. It never happened even though Big D always tried to surprise her!
Much love,
Rose

So many years have passed, but I remember visiting in PA, and feeling a kinship with Alex because I too was the oldest of Dan & Elaine’s girls.
The photos brought me right back to the basement where my cool older cousins taught me the words to “Smoking in the Boy’s Room” and “Bye Bye American Pie.”
Life is so short. My condolences to Freddy, Peter, Louise, and Stevie. Big hug from Florida.

My precious brother-in-law Alex. How I loved talking to you. We could talk for hours. You were not only smart but lovable. I always had a special place in my heart for you. I remember when I married Pete and he brought me to meet the family I was so excited to have brothers and a sister. We toured your warehouse and seeing your success in business was impressive. I saw that success over and over throughout the years. You definitely had a gift. I will miss you and love you forever.

Alex, you had an incredible mind that had so many facets of interest and expertise; your love of space, your love of movies (and your ability to recall movie quotes at the drop of a hat), and your sense of humor were just a few of them. I always looked up to you as “my only oldest brother.” I love you and already miss you so much.
Pete
