Obituary of Geraldine A. Parker

Geraldine A. Parker, 71, of Lansingburgh, formerly of Carondolet Apts. in the Town of Colonie, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Cambridge, New York, she is the daughter of Rhoda (Flavin) Corbett and the late Richard A Martin. Geraldine was raised in Easton and attended schools there as well as in Bennington, VT for High School. She was predeceased by her two husbands: Louis E. Pompey Sr. and Lewis E. Parker Sr.

For 31 years, Geraldine dedicated herself to residents of The ARC of Rensselaer in Troy advocating for all. She had also previously been employed at the former Cluett Peabody & Co. and the former Marshal Ray Co., both garment manufacturing and retail companies in Troy.

She loved music and crafts and was proud of her Irish Heritage.

In addition to her dear mother Rhoda who survives, she is the beloved mother of Stacey (Terry) Bennett, Love children Marcia Parker and Lewis Parker jr., cherished grandmother of Tsidhquiyah(Claudia) Pompey, Jazamine Goss, Gregory Goss, C’ahsha Goss, Snowtika (Terron) Jones, Brittany(Trevor) McCumber, Kaleen Parker, Quashanna Singleton, Khalil(Mariah) Parker, Sanaa Parker, Yemena Parker, Maronda Tarver, LaBron Parker, Maymuna Parker, Willie Mack, and Genoria Mack, adored great grandmother of 20 great grandchildren, sister of Allen Martin, Michelle (Lawrence) Brillyea, Nichole (Scott) Willett, the late Eva VanLoan, the late Darlene McClure and the late Richard Martin, Jr., also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.

Interment will be held in the Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy, NY.
