My strongest memories of Aunt Jan were when she and Uncle Dick watched us for a few days while my parents were away. She took us to see the locks for the first time and encouraged me to make the sandwiches for our picnic lunch by myself. (a very big deal at the time!) She always made me feel like everything was an exciting adventure (including my relationship with my now husband) and gave me confidence to take on life’s challenges! I will always think of her fondly, look to her as a role model and try to remember to look for the adventures in life!
Much love to the family. I'm sorry to hear of Janet's death. She was an amazing friend of my family as well as a superbly talented violinist, wife, and mother. Always remember how much she loved everyone and kept us all close to her heart.
We lived next door to Janet for many years. She was always so kind wandering the neighborhood with her big, beautiful smile! Jesse, Theresa, Jenna and Jay, we hope you find comfort in all the wonderful memories you made together.
