Obituary of Don R. Benton

Don R. Benton, of Clifton Park died on Sunday Sept. 10, 2017 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a long illness.  He was born in Highland, Il in 1938 and was the son of the late Clyde and Edith Benton.  Don retired as the treasurer of Farm Family Insurance Co. in Glenmont, NY.  He was an active member of Shenendehowa United Methodist Church in Clifton Park. 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marcia Kalter

Devoted father of Cynthia Benton and Lisa (Michael) Carley; grandfather of Erin, Mitchel, Catherine and Leighann; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and sister Lorna Benton.

Funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church, 971 Route 146 Clifton Park, NY 12065

Interment will be private in the Jonesville Cemetery, Jonesville, NY,
