Obituary of Lewis A. Martin, II

Lewis A. "Wege" Martin II, of  Halfmoon, age 60, passed away peacefully on 10/24/2017. He was born in Clifton Park, N.Y. on August 20, 1957 and is the son of Lewis & Winnie Martin. He was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School in 1975. He was most recently employed by Cole's Collision in Halfmoon and was co-owner of Martin Brothers Driveway Sealing since 1999. In his free time Wege enjoyed riding his Harley, listening to music and doing carpentry. His biggest passion was being the beloved Poppy to his 3 grandchildren, Maxwell Michael, Koen Perry & Karson Rose. Wege is survived by his 2 adoring daughters, Leigha (Michael) Rosenberger and Samantha (Steven) Rothaupt, as well as a very important person in his life, Kim Martin. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Con (Dave) Stitt, Peg (Rich) Ropitzky, Nick (Tammy) Martin, Scott (Colleen) Martin, Aym (John) Ruchlicki, as well as his beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews. Wege has a large extended family, supportive circle of friends & most of all, his best friend, Tony (Tone-Balone) DeProperty.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00am in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, N.Y. 12065.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm in the funeral home. 

Burial will be in Clifton Park Center Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary's Haven, 35 New St. Saratoga Springs, N.Y. 12866. Family encourages you to view and leave messages on Wege's guestbook.
