Obituary of Vanessa D. Randolph

Vanessa D. Randolph, 55, of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life in the loving comfort of her family on Friday, November 10, 2017.

Born in Troy, Vanessa was the beloved daughter of Mattie Boyd Randolph of Troy and the late Daniel Randolph. She was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College.

Vanessa was presently employed at Samaritan Hospital in Troy and had previously been employed for 20 years by United Health Care in Colonie.

She enjoyed her family, friends, music, travelling, road trips and shopping, but most of all being a devoted mother to Karshunna and Carl Eugene.

Vanessa loved being a member of the Golden Girls Club and was Baptized as well as a member at Bethel Baptist Church in Troy

Devoted mother of Karshunna Wallace and Carl Eugene Wallace, Jr., both of Troy, beloved daughter of Mattie Boyd Randolph of Troy, loving sister of Annette Jordan-Randolph of Clifton Park, Danita Randolph of Troy and the late Marilyn Randolph and the late Jannie Randolph, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church, 2165 Fifth Avenue, Troy, New York 12180 and to her Home Going Service in Church, which will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.

Vanessa’s family would like to express their most sincere appreciation and gratitude to Albany Medical Center Hospital and Community Hospice of Rensselaer for their compassionate and loving care and would like to extend a special thank you and recognition to both Felicia “Cha-Cha” Bellamy and Robin Boyd for being Vanessa’s angels and wonderful friends and caregivers.
