My Dad Norman Hitchcock and Bob Carlson were great Brown Swiss Breeder friends. When I was young my Dad and I would go to the Canton meetings and sit with Bob and talk about our Swiss. My Dad and Bob helped with the Brown Swiss Sales with Niles Hillman, Harold Magneson, and Evi Schultz. My dad passed away in 1997. So sorry that you lost your Dad and we send our heartfelt sympathy to all of you.

I met Bob when I moved to Schaghticoke in 1967, and have remained his next door neighbor every since. Bob has always been very good to us, many times bringing us hay or straw to help us out, or giving us a hand with our garden. I can't imagine that he is really gone and that I shan't see him out there riding around next summer. I shall miss him very much. Thanks Bob. May you be with God.

Jean, Kim, Mark, Donna, MaryJo, Patrick, Evan and Liz,
It is never easy to lose someone. While we understand that God has called them home and are comforted that they are no longer in pain, it still is a difficult loss. May your faith in life eternal, the comfort of God's words and the kind words of others comfort and sustain you through this transition.

Bob-
There are angels walking all over this earth, and you were the best one of those. You were generous, loving, kind and compassionate. You were the hardest worker, an inspiration, and the most dedicated and loyal man to everyone you loved. The memories I have from my time on your farm are the most cherished memories I have from my teens. The hard work, the fun and laughs, the challenges and the victories were all amazing... the pumpkin patch, the horse shows, the haunted maze, and hay season. I am going to miss you and I will never forget you. I hope that you drove May, Lucy, june, Jess, Sam Jake, April, Reno, Willie, Bob, or Bill through those pearly gates with your head held high and with that handsome smile on your face like you used to do in the obstacle courses at the fair. Sending so much love-
Megan

Paul has fond memories of Bob. They had school, community, and farming in common as well as the horse drawn wagons to the Pumpkin Patch. Bob and Jean visited us several times during our hard times and we visited them a few times, too. We call them both good friends and now we are in unceasing prayers for Jean and the family.

Jean and family ... I am so very sorry for the loss of Bob . He was such amazing man . I can still see his smile when we boarded the bus every morning. He was the most kind sweet man I have ever met . I often tell people how we had the best bus driver ever . I remember him giving us candy on occasion and he was so happy when he handed it to everyone.
Thank you for sharing him with us ❤️

Bob was a great man and will be missed. His love of life , his cows, his horses and his family were always evident. He was at his best when he was helping others or teaching a craft or skill to s youngster. His smile was contagious and put up a room. I loved when he gave hay rides as my horses would run alongside his precious babies as they passed the house. Rest In Peace Mr. Carlson and know that you left a mark on all who knew you. Prayers and hugs sent to all of his family and friends.
