Obituary of Luis A. Ortiz Torres

Luis A. Ortiz Torres, 65, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 24 , 2018.

Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, Luis was the son of the late Carlos Ortiz and the late Maria Isabel Torres Ortiz.

Luis retired from Siena College in Loudonville.

He loved baseball, music, dancing and cooking.

Beloved husband of Maria Moreno, devoted father of  Luis Ortiz , Neisha Grisel Ortiz, Frances Yadira Ortiz and Leslie Ortiz; brother of  Carlos Ortiz, Anibal Ortiz, Saul Ortiz, Hector Ortiz and Acidalia Ortiz,  

grandfather of Angelina Sky McCoy, Kaira Torres, Maria Acevedo, Neisha Matilde Astacio, Nael Astacio, Joshua Ortiz, Fabian Ortiz, Michael Ortiz, Yamilet Castro, Shayleen Dubon, Nataly Ortiz, Leslie Ortiz and William Ortiz, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, April 5th  at 12 noon  at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, New York 12182. Phone (518) 235-0952.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon.

Interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
