Robert A. "Bob" Desautels, 69, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Clifton Park, beloved companion of 11 years of Betty J. Cross of Raleigh, NC, passed into eternal life in the loving comfort of his residence surrounded by Betty and his children on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.
Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Omer A. and Lorraine Whalen Desautels and was a graduate of LaSalle Institute and Hudson Valley Community College, both in Troy.
Bob retired from Repeat Business Systems in Albany.
He served in the NYS National Guard, was an avid New York Yankees fan and was a member of Northstar Church in Clifton Park.
Beloved companion of Betty, devoted father of Robert Desautels (Angel Schell) of Amsterdam, NY and Nika Schena of Saugus, MA, brother of Michael Desautels of Leesburg, Fl and Thomas (Nancy) Desautels of St. Augustine, FL, cherished grandfather of Megan and Emily Schena and Nicholas, Ryan and Rachael Desautels, also survived by several nieces.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mission Community Church, 10 Old Plank Rd Clifton Park.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 5-8p.m. Interment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford.
Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to Northstar Church P.O. Box158, Clifton Park, NY 12065, in memory of Robert Desautels.
