Obituary of Dawn M. Marczewski

Please share a memory of Dawn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dawn M. Marczewski, 72, of Clifton Park, began her eternal life on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Born in Buffalo, New York, she was raised by foster parents Leroy V. and Shirley J. Ramsey Freele. Dawn was a graduate of Kenmore East High School and received her Certificate of Radiology from Erie County Medical Center. Dawn reunited as an adult with members of her early adoptive family, most especially father Leonard Biles, sister Michelle (Biles) Cox, and nephew Michael Whited (Michelle’s son). Dawn retired from Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, NY, where she had been a CAT scan technologist. Dawn was a natural caregiver with strong empathy and compassion who always strove to make her patients’ experiences better. While living in Buffalo, she had also been employed at Buffalo General Hospital, Millard Fillmore Hospital and the Veteran’s Administration Hospital. Dawn’s greatest passion and pride were her grandchildren, her daughter and her extended family and she spent many hours shining her love on them. She was an avid reader and book collector who enjoyed the Clifton Park Library and the friends made there. Dawn has been serving as an Election Inspector in Clifton Park for the Saratoga County Board of Elections for many years. She enjoyed daily coffee and talk with friends at the Stewart’s Shop on Grooms Road in Clifton Park. To her immense surprise, joy, gratitude and humility, her many friends took up a collection and sent her to Washington, D.C. for the Inauguration of President Donald J. Trump. This was one of the highlights of her life! Dawn has also found great kinship and congregation as a member of Liberty Christian Fellowship in Halfmoon; participating in weekly services, study groups and social events. Devoted mother of Daena and her husband Michael Marsh of Clifton Park and cherished “Grammy” to Trevor Marsh and Jenna Marsh. Dawn was loved and will be missed by her caring extended family through her son-in-law, including Michael’s mother Julia Marsh (husband, the late Peter, Sr.), their children Peter Marsh, Jr., James Marsh and his wife, Tiera and sons Jamison and Damian, Christine Ledrich and her husband Robert as well as Michael’s aunts Joan Lane, Marian Kusisto and Edith Rios. Her beloved pets over the years: Buttons, Timmy, Flower, Dancer, Smoke, and Beekman. Dawn is survived by Daena’s father Paul Marczewski, sister-in-law Joyce Kennedy (husband, the late Robert), nieces Kelly Blanchard and Shannon Wiencek, brother-in-law William Marczewski and his wife, Charry and their daughter Brittni Aspnes; all saddened by her passing and supporting and comforting Daena, Michael, Trevor and Jenna in their grief.
