I am so sorry to hear this. I grew up two doors down on Buck Street. I remember her beautiful eldest daughters taking time to be kind to 5-year-old me, playing in front of my house. I can stil hear her calling for the kids she babysat, and the cats, in the backyard. She is an integral, happy, childhood memory. I went looking to see what happened when I felt the gap left in Facebook posts - I hadn't seen her happy and proud posts about her children or grandchlldren in a while. A life well-lived. She will be missed by many.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. She was an incredibly kind and generous soul. Involved in so many community activities while she was living in Canton. And so gifted in how she cared for children. She was so good and supportive of my daughter Sasha. I hope Roy is doing well with the loss of his beloved wife Jean. She will be missed by those who knew of her kind and generous spirit.

I cannot believe Jean is gone. My heart breaks for Roy and their children. Jean was a constant support for so many families. She not only took such great care of our children but she was always there to listen to our problems too. She will always be in our hearts as "Jeana Beana" and a wonderful support system to so many families.

Jean was always a happy person--loving her family and all the children in the day care. I remember leaving Ryan with Jean when he was about 2 so that I could work part-time. He was always happy when I picked him up and I think that was a testimony to the kind, good, and loving care he received while he was there.
And I remember the years she served the church as the Sunday School Superintendent. Things always ran well!

Dear family,
I'm truly saddened of the passing of Jean. We stoped to visit Jean and Roy during the summer of 2022 while visiting family and friends in New York from Port Orange, FL. We had planned to see her and Roy this week but that was not meant to be. Jean was a lovely person of sweet heart and wonderful joy. May fond memories be of some comfort to you during this difficult time. Dan Spink and David McCarthy

So very sad to learn about Jean's passing. She helped raise our two boys, Steven and Michael, from the time they were infants until they hit their teen years. I think she raised half of Canton, and the school bus seemed to empty at her house after school every day. Every fall she took a ceramics class and made sweet little ornaments that she hung in December across the dining room. Each child got to choose one to take home for the holidays. We will always treasure our collection and think of Jean whenever we hang them. I will never forget the kindness and love she and her husband Roy showed to my family and to everyone she found on her life's path. Jean always made a point to tell everyone she knew how special they were and how much she loved them. Jean's lesson to all of us: you can make a difference in the life of everyone you encounter. Just tell them you care about them and love them. Rest in Peace. You did beautiful work in this life, Jean. We love you.

It was such a sad news for us to learn about Jean's passing. We met Roy & Jean at the Crystal Lake Village New York Day's party every March. I knew something was wrong when they didn't come this year - they were very much missed. We are hoping that Roy will still come back down to Wauchula this winter - he is one of the many really nice people here!

Jean and I were dear friends many years ago in the beginning of our Beta Sigma Phi days. After I moved away from Canton we lost touch over the years. Recently we reconnected over facebook and talked about getting together sometime for lunch. Sadly that never happened. Jean was a beautiful person and my heart is saddened for all. My condolences to Roy and family.
